C&IT Hot List 2009 - Bronze Winner
C&IT's first-ever Hot List has been announced, and Vinopolis was amongst the winners. The awards, voted for by the public aim to honour the very best venues, suppliers, and destinations. Taking Bronze in the 'Best Unusual Events Venue' category shows that Vinopolis really does offer a unique and stunning venue for your event, what ever the occasion.
Newsroom's Got Talent held at Vinopolis
Vinopolis was delighted to host the charity fundraiser featuring a host the countries finest newsreaders. With the stunning surroundings of The Great Halls and AV provided by our in-house team the evening was bound to be a success even before the performances began. ITV News' Grease Medley was voted the top act by judges Piers Morgan, Ulrika Jonsson and Arlene Phillips at the event sponsored by New Look and Diageo to raise money for Leonard Cheshire Disability and Helen & Douglas House.
A BBC News team came a close second with a Sound of Music number, and another ITV News team came third with a rendition of 'You Can Leave Your Hat On'. An audience of TV newsroom staff and celebs were treated to the sight of some of the country's most famous TV presenters as never seen before - including Mark Austin on drums, Kate Silverton in pigtails and even Jon Snow in a sparkling silver jacket and wig.
