Vinopolis is delighted to welcome back celebrity wine connoisseur Oz Clarke for the 8th consecutive year. Oz Clarke is one of the world's leading wine experts whose formidable reputation is based on his extensive wine knowledge and accessible, no-nonsense approach - as seen in his recent television wine adventure with James May. Acknowledged as having one of the finest palates of anyone writing about wine today, Oz brings a refreshingly unorthodox wit and directness to the subject.

About the Oz Clarke tasting:
Join Oz Clarke, Britain’s favourite wine writer, as he takes you on a tasting extravaganza to meet some of his favourite winemakers and their wines.

Every year Oz tastes thousands of wines for his pocket wine and 250 best wines books.
After much debate and discussion we have specially selected these 5 wines from his list of favourites in the new Oz Clarke Pocket Wine Guide 2009.

Please allow one hour with Oz, followed by the Grapevine self-guided wine tour, which will take approximately 1.5 hours (audio guide not included). The whole experience will last for approximately 2.5 - 3 hours.  VIPs will get an additional 30 minute question and answer session with Oz as well as a signed copy of his book.

About Matt Skinner
This will be Matt's 2nd year at Vinopolis after an extremely popular and engaging debut in 2007. He continues in his day to day role as Head of Wine Operations for Jamie Oliver's 'Fifteen' restaurant’s world wide and has both a refreshing take on the industry and a knack for making wine simple. His first book ‘Thirsty Work’ sold into a staggering 14 countries and was translated into 9 foreign languages. Matt is also a regular guest on ITV’s Saturday Cooks, Daily Cooks, UK Food’s Great Food Live & Food Uncut.

About the Matt Skinner tasting:
Matt's no nonsense approach will provide you with an excellent introduction into the world of wine and how to experience it to the full. Matt will ensure, that by tasting five wines from all over the world, you will learn to assess the appearance, smell and taste of wine. Please allow 1 hour with Matt, followed by the Grapevine self-guided wine tour, which will take approximately 1.5 hours (audio guide not included).
